To me it sounds like a backwards message (in keeping with the theme), we need someone to reverse it.

"We never say anything bad" is indeed The Bug Club's catchphrase, but only because this was something of an in-joke. As I've said before, this interlude can be found on all vintage test pressings of Secret Messages, including the 3-4-83 and 3-11-83 acetates, along with the reference cassette that has also recently surfaced. However, for reasons Jeff Lynne would exclusively be in a position to explain, it was not present on the 2018 version, despite this being marketed as a release faithful to his original intention for the double album. Instead, it was replaced with a repetition of the "plant a tree" piece, even though this was always meant to follow Buildings Have Eyes. (On the 1983 single LP, you can even hear the final bars of this song still fading out.) Similarly, prior to our higher quality source of Beatles Forever being uploaded, we referred to this as "Eternal Bugs" in order to avoid revealing our hand too soon. I must stress that outside of some restoration work, what you're hearing on our YouTube channel has not been changed in comparison with what can be found on the aforementioned sources.
P.S. Yes, I consider myself a member of The Bug Club. Apart from contributing some rarities, I've also provided extracts of my research and served as an engineering consultant on at least one project. Finally for now, we're still not done with the surprises - to those who may have already heard it, the Soundcastle remix of the title track to Secret Messages has never sounded better, plus there are two further songs with alternate versions just waiting to be unleashed...

Hi ShardEnder...love the work so far ...
Can I just clarify... so what we have heard in this thread have been remasters? .. Presumably after all the the album remasters have been released, then the remix of these two/three song will follow (some time later)
Did JL sign-off on BF release then?

I'd call these unofficial fan restorations as opposed to remasters, and one of the upcoming alternate mixes comes from a vintage source, while two others have been almost entirely remade to a level I think is about 99% faithful to the original intention.

Did JL sign-off on BF release then? Hi Dillwyn. You will notice that ShardEnder didn't answer this question specifically. That's because the answer is no.
