Awfully sad news Although Ennio had made his name beforehand, I came to know his music when Chi Mai was a big hit in the early 80's. R.I.P. Maestro

I’ve got a copy of Chi Mai great song, RIP Ennio. Isn't that the theme song from The Life and Times of Lloyd George? I liked that too..

I was under the impression he was only responsible for the spaghetti western music and that was pretty darned impressive. Finding out how much more he'd written really showed what an accomplished and creative artist he was. He made a huge contribution to the development and history of cinema and will be sadly missed. RIP Ennio

I love this -
Morricone is as good as Rachmaninov and Tchaikovsky. If he were working in the 19th c he'd be known for his genius and not just for his soundtracks.
