Ok, I realise that my reputation for exceptional taste in music is in jeopardy with this post - but I'm nothing, if not just a little bit reckless at times. You never know, this might inspire others to own-up to some unexpected preferences.
Once upon a time a Dutch act brought out a medley of Beatles songs. It was a big hit. Very infectious, it was - even with the ever-present drum machine in the background. My long-playing 33rpm record was a prized possession. As were the follow-up albums.
This is one of those follow-ups - kicking off with the rather excellent medley of intros.
If you last the pace, you also have The Supremes and Abba

Don’t know if it’s the same group or not, but I have a Startrax club disco single from 1981. Its a Bee Gees compilation. Don’t worry about your reputation tremblinwilbury, I have a lot worse in my collection which I couldn’t admit to.
PS I quite liked stars on 45.....

I’ve got three records that for some embarrassing reason I bought, I don’t mind deciding the winner and if we get enough entries award a gold medal.

I remember the stars on 45 really well back in 81, the first like you say was The Beatles, followed by Abba and the 3rd one that year was Stevie Wonder.I used to think that it was the actual songs put to a beat! I think Startrax was another band cashing in on the craze as there were loads that year. Even actual groups such as The Hollies brought out medleys. My guilty pleasure (although not silly) would be The Seekers,a bit cheesy but Judith Durhams vocals are incredible.

Just thought of another,I loved Darts back in the day and have 4 or 5 singles by them. Den Heggarty was a lunatic of the highest order (check out their early TOTP appearances)

The Firm song has a link to another guilty pleasure of mine, Tony Thorpe who sang that song was a member of The Rubettes during their most successful period.
