At least the signature is real Now that you mention it the plastic sleeve doesn't look 44 years old, damn! I've been duped..... You need to leave off the cake, man.

Bid started at a whopping $8.00! Needless to say, nobody bid on it.
Judging by that signature, I think Jeff was sat in the chair at the time....

Talking of ANWR, I have two copies. One has a flat spaceship logo on the front and the other has a glossy embossed spaceship. I’ve two copies as well, the red vinyl version which has the embossed cover and the LP in the Four Light Years bundle. I think the reissued LP has a flat spaceship. I wish I had a signed version might have to look for a sharpie. All my ELO autographs are tucked into my OOTB album cover. I have an embossed one and my sis has a flat one, I always assumed the flat one was a repress too but I just checked and ours both have the original UA catalogue number

There is so many versions of each ELO album. ANWR has at least 3 colour vinyls clear, red and blue. Not to mention the various labels. My first copy was the embossed one on the Jet label, and my first album bought with my pocket money. Happy days.......

I used to love going to record fairs and discovering a 'new' version of an ELO album or single.

I would spend hours in record fairs, flicking through the endless rows of vinyls. There always seemed to be someone spending too long leafing through the E section, not the same scrolling through pages on a screen.

Just wondering has anyone ever actually met any member of ELO or Part 2 and got a signature from them. Or met some other musical hero and got something signed. I can’t see me ever running in to Jeff Lynne or even “Geoff Lin” to get an autograph.

Sadly I've never been lucky enough to meet Jeff but I've managed to stalk bump into all of Muse once or twice and snag their autographs. My wizard wheeze is to ask them to draw me a cat, anyone can scribble a cat and I've ended up with complete originals as well as the usual signatures. I still need to get a kitty drawing from Chris the bassist, and the ones done by Dom and Matt won't ever win an art award, but they are unique and I totally love them. They'e been added to my tattoo collection where I can admire them every day and re-live the meetings
I'd recommend asking for a doodle, although the one Mr Musette got Alice Cooper to draw (a snake in a top hat) is hilariously bad - just because people are good musicians doesn't make them good at drawing

Have we ever discussed those people you see with absolute armfuls of stuff to be signed who are most likely just going to sell them for a massive profit? Famous folks must really hate that, it's the sort of thing which makes them slink away instead of making themselves available to the real fans I bet there are serial offenders who can be spotted a mile off by experienced security guys.
