I didn't know anything about this until I pre-ordered the new Pugwash album. I think this is a great way to help our fav artists/bands and it also gives us the chance to interact with them. It's unbelievable how the music industry has changed in the last 20 years    |

It is a good idea, I've done it a couple of times with Strawbs albums - you get to have your name printed in the CD booklet (Wooo, cheap thrills!)
Remember the Crazy World of Arthur Brown? "I AM THE GOD OF HELLFIRE...AND I BRING YOU.."
He's about 72 now, still making great music and his voice is amazing. In January Mr Musette and I went to a dinner party hosted by him to raise money for his new output - there were only about 8 of us fans and a few of his friends and it was in his brilliant arty studio/performance area. After the food he did a special spoken word thing for us whilst we sat around on sofas, for £30 a head it was amazing (although I don't think it would have funded an album, hargh!)
Now, if Jeff ever fancied doing something like that....

I'd be up for that. £30 for the event, £3000 for the air ticket etc You've forgotten that FedExed by crate can be a lot cheaper. Would need a few months lead time. I, on the other hand, will hobo it - hoppin' rides on west bound trains, meeting other hobo fans along the way!  |
