Really pleased about this, it seems appropriate having seen his father's appearance with Jeff at Heartbeat '86. Apart from Roger and Rufus Taylor, I can't think of any other father and son appearances that I've seen on a concert stage and certainly not ones divided by so many years!

Apart from Roger and Rufus Taylor, I can't think of any other father and son appearances that I've seen on a concert stage and certainly not ones divided by so many years! During the last Sting tour there were even two father/son combinations on stage: Dominic and Rufus Miller, Sting and Joe Sumner.

I'm glad it's Dhani although it was expected.
Speaking of father and son appearances, what about Ringo and his son? I know they both drum but I haven't heard of them appearing together.

Haven't really checked out Dhani's music. Need to rectify that.
Just noticed that Spotify has a Dhani's Best of Jeff playlist.

Haven't really checked out Dhani's music. Need to rectify that. Just noticed that Spotify has a Dhani's Best of Jeff playlist. Pretty much had this playlist on repeat this summer, there's some excellent picks in there. Dhani evidently has great taste when it comes to Jeff's music. I hadn't really heard any of Dhani's music either before I saw him the first time, but I absolutely loved a few of the songs I heard that night and they quickly became staples in my playlists. I'm glad to say I knew most of the songs the second time around and had a greater appreciation for them, I found that I generally preferred the live versions to the recordings.

A bit outdated now, but I stumbled across this the other day and figured it would be appropriate to post here, it’s a nice review/brief history of Dhani’s music for those looking to check it out a bit. ELO gets a mention in the article, as does Jeff Lynne (and—*gasp*— without any explanation or introduction as “the guy who’s worked with the likes of Tom Petty, ...”) www.npr.org/2017/09/28/552568471/first-listen-dhani-harrison-in-parallel

A thought that occurred to me a while ago... I certainly wouldn't want to deprive anyone in the UK and Europe of Dhani's wonderful performance of Handle With Care, but what if he and Jeff chose a different Wilburys song for their joint act this time around? Which song would be the one you all would like to hear? I think Margarita would be a fun one for them to consider, since Dhani Ayrton is a Wilbury, too, you know...

End of the Line would make a nice change from Handle With Care

I would love to hear Dhani’s take on “Heading for the light” a really upbeat song and classic George Harrison sound.

I doubt if the tour will take place. I was about to say the same. Guess everything (gigs, festivals, etc.) will be postponed to 2021.
