Besides the usual Christmas tunes that get dusted off every year there are a few that break the mould. One such song is this one...
The singer is Paul Brady. Starting his career in the sixties as a folk singer, he did a 'Bob Dylan' and discovered rock music. Unlike Jeff, he dropped the glasses.

One of my favorite lesser known holiday songs, 25th December, by Everything But The Girl (featuring some nice guitar work by Richard Thompson)

Greg Lake and Ian Anderson - a Christmas song with rather ambiguous lyrics, but the music is beautiful and the sentiment is true even if it's topped with alternating layers of doubt and hope

Top Of The Pops 1988 reminded me of this magnificent song tonight... It feels so right at Christmas time... I wonder why I like it so much...

The only Christmas song Jeff Lynne ever had a hand in, oddly enough.....

Perfect Day...
Not an obvious Christmas song - but the connection is in there...
