Man, I love stuff like that, even if I don't understand all of the terminology. I've read the story before about the original American producer brought in for the Cloud Nine sessions, only to be let go. I wonder if we'll ever find out who it was?
As for Dylan, that story about If You Belonged To Me sounds like other stuff I've heard about Bob. He likes to push buttons just to see if people will push back. George and Jeff didn't in that case, but Richard Dodd did, which I'm sure Dylan admired.

Soundonsound This article was quite useful for writing Five Legends, Five Guitars when I read it back in 2017. I wouldn't have known exactly which engineer worked on which phase of recording otherwise. Thanks for posting!

I've never thought Jeff and Bob got on musically and they certainly weren't as close as they were to the others in the band. The second Album was way too much Bob. They missed Roy very much.
