radio tends to blow the dust off of some rarely played records for this holiday
Evil Woman gets some play on Halloween, but it's certainly not a once a year novelty song.
What's your favorite song that gets a LOT more play on this day?
my choice is Screaming Jay Hawkins "I put a spell on you" supposedly, he recorded it almost as a joke - just to see how over the top he could go with a song in this video, he sometimes has trouble keeping a straight face as he hams it up for the audience definitely a "novelty" song - but it's still played over 50 years later

Here's a scary music video from the Eighties - reworked for laughs by British comedian Lenny Henry. Note the shout out to a Brummie institution at 2:15.

BSJ - I don't think of Psycho Killer as a Halloween song, but ... the DJ played it on my drive in this morning. Guess it probably does get more play on this day.

Here's an eerie one.
A fan has taken this Kate Bush song and fitted it to scenes from the horror movie The Innocents, based on Henry James' novella The Turn Of The Screw. In this tale, a governess, played by Deborah Kerr, goes to looks after two children living in an old mansion. The children begin to exhibit odd behaviour, leading the governess to believe that they are possessed by the spirits of two adults who used to live in the house. Think you'll agree that the person who made the video did a great job.

Oooh, it is well done and very spooky - I could never get my head around the story though - was she mad or were the kids posessed?
Here's another Kate Klassic perfect for the season

I always played this at Halloween to the kids, it seemed to do the job and scared them especially when I turned off the lights and dressed the dog up as a ghost.
Not sure what happened to the band who played it?

I gave my daughter my copy of Face the Music to listen to over the Summer and that spooky, backward vocal beginning got quite the reaction.
I wonder why the video suddenly cuts over to a bit of Fine Young Cannibals? they are another good Birmingham area band

It must have mostly been the song that scared the kids Horacewimp, the doggie/ghost was fooling nobody
