Ah, what a great thought, orioles70. Now, how many slices will it take for me to meet a fan of a certain forum band? I wonder if fans harrassed him near the Waterloo bridge as happened to me when I was wearing that shirt.

The saying "no monkey business" is soon going to become obsolete, as everything seems to be monkey business these days, even cooking!

Popped into a gift shop this morning. Feels good to do normal things (well, normal for this forum) again.

Had to "Handle With Care", otherwise it might have been "Down Came The Reindeer".

Well, there weren't any visits from Jeff this Halloween, but I think I might've spotted him while out last-minute costume shopping...

vlogdance that sounds like a dream worth repeating. Try eating a bigger slice. Perhaps you will walk up and actually catch a shadowy figure in the act of arranging the merchandise to spell out Mik's name - only to realize that you are seeing yourself! Or add a scoop of vanilla ice cream and the dream might go totally sideways ... Doc Martin will step into the store and chastise you for messing with Mrs Tishell's carefully organized pharmacy supplies. After you explain your fandom, Doc will say "well if you like The Orchestra so much, why are you here when they are playing right down the hill at Al's pub?" ok, I must have a bad case of Covid lockdown fever Seeing "The Orchestra" in Portwenn is sort of my dream UK holiday. so a week after saying that seeing The Orchestra in Portwenn is my dream UK vacation ... this film gets recommended on Netflix "the rock and roll of 1752" set in the very town is Netflix watching my keystrokes?

An unexpected moment in the national spotlight for my colleagues and me, this morning. BBC Radio 1 breakfast show DJ Greg James was telling his colleagues about a risqué TV dating show called Naked Attraction. This show's pretty much Blind Date, but with everyone naked. Greg J pointed out that the show's even more fun is if you watch it with the audio description on. Yes, this is one of the shows that my team and I write the audio description scripts for If you'd like to hear more, here's the link to Greg James' breakfast show this morning - he starts to talk about audio description at around 2:40:45. www.bbc.co.uk/sounds/play/m000pglmHope the links work.

Ha! Are you able to use slang words like that though? I thought it was pretty strict - or is it less so with a saucy show like this?

Ha! Are you able to use slang words like that though? I thought it was pretty strict - or is it less so with a saucy show like this? You're encouraged to suit the style of your descriptions to the tone of the show. For instance, in EastEnders (non-Brit members, that's a soap opera set in London) you can say things like "He comes downstairs in his PJs" or "Mick clocks the newcomer from across the Square". You'd be more formal when scripting a serious documentary or drama.

As Greg James said it's a job loads of people would love to have and most people don't even know about. You're living the dream!
