I just found out today that the band that supported Muse on the Krakow,Poland show on June 22nd was a band from my home town of Castleford called Allusinlove. Not only that but the lead singer of the band Jason Moules is the son of my work mate Chris! I have worked with Chris for 30 odd years and he had never mentioned this until this week. I checked them out on YouTube and they sound pretty good...

an out and out rocker - like the power chords, good vocal, but the lyrics are ... not so hot, almost like a parody of an '70s Aerosmith song

Hmmm, it would be impressive if you'd used this inside track to snag me a backstage pass.... *hard stare* Great sounding band though, I love the way they all look as if they're having a brilliant time and their sleazy outfits Muse's support acts are a bit hit and miss, the good ones such as Biffy Clyro and Rodrigo y Gabriela and the terrible ones such as Jack Garrett and SWMRS (or something like that, they were rubbish anyway and probably only got the gig because two of them are the sons of one of Green Day). Saw Muse the other day at Rock Werchter and although they weren't technically Muse's support act we were much impressed with this lot who came on just before. The singer has such a fantastic scream on him, the look is nicely retro and again they were all thoroughly enjoying themselves. And yes, they have endlessly been called Zeppelin copyists, just as Muse have been called Radiohead clones and Jeff accused of Beatle-mimicking....
