Zero precisions, but still... If the donkey finally manages to reach the carrot, he (we) will be happy.

Zero precisions, but still... If the donkey finally manages to reach the carrot, he (we) will be happy. Ultimate Classic Rock also posted an article about this, including this segment: 'Lynne added that his focus right now is the studio, where he’s hard at work on new music: “I’m making a new album, which will hopefully be out next spring.”' Yes, back in April 2009 he stated that he was working on a new album that would hopefully be out "Later this year" But this time, I actually believe his estimation. Jeff has clearly been working on this album for a while now. A year ago he said he had completed like 80% of it. Also, ever since summer 2012, his releases have been much more consistent. He even has an official Facebook page which updates fairly regularly. If anything, his upcoming tour will only encourage him to release his new album sooner than later. The 10s have been a good decade for Jeff so far, and I have a feeling that 2015 will be the best year yet for us Jeff fans.

I like your optimism, bHabs, and hope you expectations are fulfilled. Until not having the album actually released, I will not celebrate (plus I recall a year ago he talked about 6 or 7 songs for his new album).
Considering that between Eldorado, FTM, ANWR and OOTB there was only one year of difference and they were great albums, next one should be the biggest masterpiece we've ever heard.

It's understandable why anyone would be dissapointed after so many times. Put yourself in his position for once and not your own.
I'm happy he's going to do it.
I don't expect a reunion. I just want to hear the music.

Nowhere in that article did Jeff say it was going to be ELO. MAYBE it'll be billed as Jeff Lynne's ELO. But hey, if the tour comes within 200 miles of me, I'm going!

I know I'm being greedy 'cos I was at Hyde Park. And I don't begrudge our friends in the States anything at all but I do hope he comes back to the UK to play! If not then maybe a trip over the pond may have to be taken!!

Fantastic! I hope that Richard is involved.
Incidentally, is there any chance that Jeff and Bev would work together again at some point, or is that a "closed book", so to speak? If Jeff performs (and records) as ELO, it would be so nice to see/hear Bev there.

Great news PS. " In Hyde Park he forgot some of the lyrics to some of the songs; some of the crowd knew, others didn't (depending on the ages). Was a fun show " (From the comments on the article posted there) Hilarious
