Along with many others I thought the part where James jumped was fake,possibly green screen etc. but he actually did jump 40' into freezing water! I know he's an ex soldier but this still deserves credit (no matter what you think of the song...)

I actually think the song is very good. Not my kind of song, I hate the suffering loving man pose and I find his voice unpleasant and unmanly, but melodically I think it's great, a very inspired composition.

And yes, you need some guts to do that. This summer at Bariloche I tried getting into a cold water lake (surely less cold than that, and in warmer weather) and man, cold water can be an awful thing.

The best therapy for any problem you might have is playing music with friends.

I have a very soft spot for James Blunt, his music is not hugely to my taste but he is SO funny and gives a really good interview. Plus of course his put-downs of people who mock him on Twitter are legendary (Be warned, probably not for the easily offended)

One of my coworkers plays his most recent album at work sometimes and although it's definitely not my cup of tea, it's really not too bad - nice melodies (one of the songs always gets stuck in my head) and much better than a lot of the other crap out there these days.
