(Taken from elodiscovery.com) I love Pugwash, they're truly amazing. I've written a few articles about their latest US tour (Italian language, sorry ). thisismynothing.blogspot.it/

When I saw this on the Discovery site it put such a massive grin on my face. To be actually invited to Bungalow Palace by the man himself, dream come true! And nobody deserves it more, it's really good to know that Jeff is aware of people like Thomas and wants to acknowlege them *cheers loudly*

I've been introduced to this band by you, Buttler, some time ago, and I really liked it, so it's great to know that the similarities with Jeff Lynne/ELO didn't just die there but got the two men together.

It's a damn shame the cameraman didn't catch the moment when Jeff's finger lit up like a light bulb.

I was worried that some time would pass before anyone caught the reference. Let's just hope Jeff's friends will never notice that he was left behind.

Or he is found in a river naked and left for dead (the best bit of ET)

Or he is found in a river naked and left for dead (the best bit of ET) Ugh. I certainly hope not... thanks for reminding us of scenes that tainted some of our childhoods with disturbing imagery. Mr. Lynne is similar in only SOME respects.

No, it's not funny, Helmut! How dare you, good sir?! Horace completely shat on my analogy by bringing up a part of the movie that I had forgotten about. Jeff has most likely been stranded for 67 years, and he's still going strong.

Oh, it sounded a lot hella funny to me, Mr. 2095. When I saw E.T. so uncomfortably lying on the floor I had the same flashback images from childhood that you had, and at the same time wondered which are those similarities with Mr. Lynne you are talking about (hair clearly not being one of them).
Does Jeff like to lie on the wooden floor of his Bungalow Palace right beside the bathroom door?

It's not funny? Oh, then you will excuse my forwardness, Mr. 2095. It's just that when I saw E.T. so uncomfortably lying on the floor I had the same flashback images from childhood that you had, and at the same time wondered which are those similarities with Mr. Lynne you are talking about (hair clearly not being one of them). Does Jeff like to lie on the wooden floor of his Bungalow Palace right beside the bathroom door? When recording? HA!

Does Jeff like to lie on the wooden floor of his Bungalow Palace right beside the bathroom door? Surely you knew that I wasn't being serious. As for Mr. Lynne lying on his floor: one would guess that he normally doesn't and would most likely dart straight up when he saw scientists with hazmat suites coming toward him. ... and don't you just love it when forum members quote a post you made before you're through editing it?

Surely you knew that I wasn't being serious. Of course I know (I just answered following the current)! Make that clarification once more and I'll make a thread full of photos of Brienne de Tarth strip-teasing and I will force you to watch them every night before you go to bed until you learn! ... and don't you just love it when forum members quote a post you made before you're through editing it? Oh, yes, I know the feeling. The best part is that moment when you realize you have to edit something and you know there's other people connected, and so try to rush and do it before they quote you and what you said gets out of your control for eternity. It gets even more interesting when internet is running slow or failing. And the probability of someone having quoted you in the meanwhile is directly proportional to how atrocious is the brutality you have just written and are trying to fix.

I've learned that quotes are needed. By the time you hit "create post", there can be 2/3 posts ahead of you off subject. This and having to edit can create "sweat panic".
