I just had to share my good news with my ELO buddies. I published Five Legends, Five Guitars a little more than a month ago, and reviews have started coming in on Amazon and Goodreads. So far three different readers have reviewed the book, and they have all loved it and given it five out of five stars! "Interesting and amusing..." "...a great little story." "I loved reading the book, and of course I had to listen to the music too." "The book is full of factual information." Shall I change the title to Five Legends, Five Guitars, Five Stars?

More good news about Five Legends, Five Guitars. A Facebook friend of mine who knew Jeff in the early 70s, says I absolutely nailed his speech patterns and Brummie slang, without making him unintelligible. I watched videos repeatedly for hours and reviewed dozens of interviews so I could get my characterization of Otis close to Jeff.
Her remarks were satisfying, to say the least. It is difficult to portray a well-known and well-loved celebrity in the written word. Missing the mark opens an author (or playwright or actor) to considerable abuse.
