Ray Sawyer died on new years eve aged 81 and Dean Ford died today aged 72. Ray in Dr Hook was perfect as Dennis Locorierres foil and Dean sang one of my all time favourite songs 'Reflections Of My Life' RIP you two....

IMO, that song IS a bona fide classic, the lyrics have never been as relevant
"The world is a bad place a bad place a terrible place to live, but I don't want to die...."

Not in love with their music, but there they were.

when's the last time anybody played "Muskrat Love"? Capt & Tenille's music hasn't exactly stood the test of time. But it's not completely forgotten either.

The only one of their songs I enjoyed was "Love Will Keep Us Together." I thought it was kind of fun and bouncy, and they were an oddly cute couple, at least on TV. Sorry he's gone.

Three more sad losses, all have a place in my growing-up years for different reasons.
Reflections of My Life was on the radio in work today, probably paying tribute. Such a shame that's the only time we hear the old classics these days, it's a fantastic song and as Timeblue says it's still relevant.
RIP Ray, Dean and Daryl - picturing you proudly taking your places in '70's Heaven.

Couldn't believe Ray was 81! I know he looked old back in the 70s with his eye patch but 11 years older than Jeff who's been around since the mid 60s?

Incidentally, when Dr Hook were at no1 with 'When Your In Love With A Beautiful Woman', ELO were in the charts with 'Confusion/LTTL'

...also, Dr Hook's first hit (Sylvia's Mother) was in the UK chart at the same time as ELO's first,10538 Overture. You could argue that ELO and Dr Hook were at their peak at the same time 1972-1980...
