No, I really don't know. Why should I? I even excused myself because of my ignorance for the case anyone got offended for me not knowing. Who else do you know that used grapefruit as part of his act,and also linked to this site? I'm a musician and I keep a banana down me trousers and I'm linked to this site?

I would love to zap Pow back in time so he could experience our era. My niece who is 29 tells me she was born in the wrong year. The 70's are her thing. She always eyeballs my albums, etc.

It's not about your physical age, I'm astounded to be entering my 50's and still feeling about 14. Just you wait, you'll get there soon, you annoyingly young bunch As for my fellow elders (and betters), we've seen loads of gigs those youngsters can only dream about, not to mention the vintage merch There's a LP record shop in Port Erin bay (where I live) That has TONS of old records and ELO is in HUGE abundance! If in good shape - grab them all!!!

So you would prefer a banner that just featured Jeff, right? I'm in agreement that Jeff basically is and always has been ELO, but the banners of related forums and other sites haven't featured any other member in quite some time. It was just an idea. I was just throwing the idea out there Just Jeff please.

Yes, but you weren't THERE, at classic gigs like Nirvana's last at Reading, all of Thin Lizzy (proper Thin Lizzy with Phil Lynott), Motorhead with the original line-up, The Wurzels at...hang on, The Wurzels are still around! Get in while you can!

She always eyeballs my albums, etc. I know many around my age who say so, but I'm definitely not one of them. I'm thankful we have internet these days and thanks to that I can listen to any artist's work or watch old concerts whenever I want, and have access to a lot of material that I'm sure in those times would have been impossible. Heck, I've just finished recording a song along with one guy who lives in the US, another one from England, another one from Ireland and the other one god knows from where. Isn't that marvelous? We also have cell phones, great computers, betters cars, air conditioning for the summer heat, etc... I wouldn't have liked to live in the '70s just because there were a lot of great musicians around. Yeah, not a romantic guy myself, more of the practical kind.

You're right! I'm grateful for all that too. But, you don't get that personal experience. I think I have more appreciation for the now, as you will one day. At the same time, there's frustration knowing that I won't be around to experience what my grandnieces/nephews will have, and on and on.
It would be great if Pow, or my niece, spent a short time in the '70's. Who wouldn't want to time travel?

What year(s) do you want to meet in? 1978. I want to attend any of the "Out of the Blue" concerts in Wembley (plus I want to celebrate Argentina winning the World Cup).

I could redo 78. Did a tour of UK that year! Meet you at the stadium! We can wear Jeff's Hyde Park shirts!

She always eyeballs my albums, etc. Then I'm a weird mix of your niece and Herr Helmut... not in a physical sense, though I'm sure. I've had a fascination with the '70s for just about as long as I can remember, and would gladly jump aboard the time machine as long as it held several people so that no one's body would ever be hanging outside of the warp in time. The first stop we would have to make would be in 1987, so I could visit the infant version of myself and secretly and quickly dye what little hair he had and draw a mustache on his upper lip... then it would be off to see ELO in your year of choice.
