Generally a pretty good year of inductees for 2019: Radiohead;Roxy Music; Stevie Nicks;Janet Jackson and even The Zombies......but Def Leppard, voted in first time, over a vastly more innovative and original band like Kraftwerk?? Hmmm.........

Id rather Kraftwerk over Janet Jackson and Stevie Nicks anyday. It ought to be renamed the USARRHOF since those two did little outside of America.....

Zombies seem like they have been just about forgotten. Even more forgotten - Argent, named for the leader of the Zombies. I remember when I was fresh out of college, the big New York city classic rock station had a contest where they were giving away a Porsche to the listener that could guess what song they were talking about. First clue was "Silver". It took several weeks before anyone guessed the song "God Gave Rock and Roll to You" by Argent. My friends and I were saying "Argent? Who the hell are they?"
congrats to Mr Argent

It's a great show. I love Rod Argent. He looks really fantastic for his age too!

Interesting group...
The Cure- Influential, for sure, and were able to muster some hit singles with their decidedly non-mainstream style.
Def Leppard- One of the biggest hard rock bands of the 80's, so yeah I'd say they deserve induction.
Janet Jackson- Broke out of brother's huge shadow to make an impact on the world of pop music.
Stevie Nicks- I'm not sure about this one. I like some of her solo work, but was she a big enough solo act to deserve induction?
Radiohead- Not everyone's cup of tea, but their first three or four albums were groundbreaking and influential.
Roxy Music- Another one I'm not sure about. The critics seemed to like them......
The Zombies - About time!
Still missing? Jethro Tull, Kratfwerk, MC5, Steve Winwood, Harry Nilsson,Joe Cocker, Procol Harum, Duran Duran, Diana Ross, Depeche Mode, The Replacements,Tina Turner, Big Star, T. Rex, Warren Zevon, and Judas Priest.

JJ and SN are huge in the US no doubt but apart from a few hits in the UK,Janet was just a mainstream singer and not particularly good imo. Stevie wouldn't have got anywhere without the 'mac and not really deserving of a nomination at all. Roxy Music do deserve it I think, they came in during the glam period and managed to stand out from their contemparies and successfully emerged from that era to become a world class act. I still think it's too US based though.

I can't believe Jethro Tull weren't inducted years ago, they were huge in the US weren't they? Maybe they refused it?

Harry Nilsson, what a voice. Drugs and booze ruined it.
