I always wanted to have a cd that included the collaboration of Del Shannon and Jeff Lynne and I finished the cd. The all tracks are from my collection. It is not for sale. Have fun while listening.

Thanks a lot! Wow, all of the Jeff & Del tracks all in one place. I don't really know why, but I liked the concept, so I made my own cover. I imagine it could be part of a series of compilations, each featuring another artist Jeff has worked with. ![]() Attachment Deleted |

Wasn't Del going to be Roy's replacement in the Wilburys? I think I read this somewhere but unfortunately he took his own life.

Id imagine names were bandied about, a sort of wish list more than any real plan to replace Roy. As was said no one could replace Roy. One of Roy's sons apparently said in a recent US radio interview that George wanted Lindsey Buckingham to replace him. I've nothing against Lindsey but I'm glad that was a non runner. |

I did a load of research for my book on the Traveling Wilburys that is being published next week. Both Jeff and George denied in interviews that they ever discussed or considered anyone to replace Roy. Jeff Slate, the rock commentator who wrote the liner notes for the Sgt. Pepper reissue and More Blood, More Tracks generously completed an interview for Five Legends, Five Guitars. He's interviewed all the Wilburys except Roy and he co-wrote The Authorized Roy Orbison Biography, so he's got some impeccable credentials in the Wilbury department. He told me unequivocally they never considered replacing Roy. So that's the end of that. |

Apparently it's quite hard to see them with the naked eye, you need to be looking through a camera or other type of lens?
