Can't stand Liam Gallagher's voice. Plus I remember Noel making fun of Jeff and ELO (did your flamethrower know about that, elophile ?). I love the username of the guy who put up the video though: Phil Retrospector. 

The second one is amazing. That's a mashup that's worth doing. It's amazing how well the Beastie Boys rap fits over LTTL's base. I wonder if the rhythm of both songs fitted naturally into each other or the guy had to change a bit the tempo of any of them.

Yes. And believe me, I could never forget such a thing!! 

I was never an Oasis fan to begin with but to hear him think he had any standing to criticize someone with a musical legacy like Jeff has!

Also, Noel Gallagher is a complete arse. That makes at least two of my favorite artists he's disrespected. It's probably a mark of greatness just to be insulted by him.   I may need to request to borrow elophile 's flamethrower, x2!

Helmut83 I'm sure there are many (as making derogatory comments about accomplished bands seems to be his thing), but he's made a number of disparaging comments about R.E.M. over the years. I also find that interesting, considering Oasis' song "Morning Glory" is clearly a ripoff of "The One I Love." I think he is just jealous of better, more original artists. I haven't been holding this grudge for a while or anything...

I see. What an idiot. I remember having searched in his discography time ago and not being able to find more than 1 good song. Then, as I went on searching and nothing interesting appeared, I lost interest and gave up on Oasis.

I didn't remember "Morning Glory" so I had to give it a listen, and yes, it's a bit too similar to "The One I love". They could have changed the riff but they basically stole it from REM.

I suspect you are correct. I've never understood the "any attention is good attention" frame of mind; I'm not sure why some people go for that angle. If anything, it just puts me off of their work.    It's fine to have different musical tastes, but it's not cool to be an arse.
