I'm doing ok, BSJ. Thanks for asking.

Dad passed away toward the end of June. So I've been busy with the funeral and arranging some help for Mom. Dad has about 5 weeks between leaving the hospital and entering hospice at home. I doubt he would have lasted half that time if he hadn't gotten out of the hospital first. For about 4 of those weeks he had some quality of life with visits from friends and family. The week in hospice was pretty rough, but some people suffer a lot longer.

He went out on his terms and with a positive attitude. And the family really pulled together to help him, which made me proud of our bunch. Dad always set a great example and the family didn't let him down at the end.

If it's of any importance, I think you did well in letting your father go on his own terms and spend that time surrounded by his family and the ones who loved him. If it's inevitable, that's the best way to go.

The best therapy for any problem you might have is playing music with friends.
