Oh ffs! Seriously?! I'm truly sorry for bringing politics to this beautiful forum but "their sentences were quashed" sounds like "well we just let them off with it" these people were innocent and they were "exonerated" they were also payed between £800.000 and £1.000.000 for their "trouble" in fact its not a million miles away from the Daniel Day Lewis movie "in the name of the father" how can they honestly get away with calling Dave Morgan ELO? no offence to Dave! He's a great guy and the stuff he has done with Rich is great!

I can see them referring to Dave Morgan as an ELO member, since he toured with them, but Phil Hatton? No.

You'd think the BBC would be able to get their facts right.

This isn't all that surprising. I can remember reading articles published by news outlets such as the BBC, The Daily Telegraph and The Daily Mail that contained many inaccuracies about ELO and other related and unrelated acts before.
When it comes to this one, it seems that the author or his supervisors just wanted a more attention grabbing title or headline. 'No surprise there.

Am I missing something or have they changed the text, but I don't see any reference to this being a new ELO song? Just that it's a song written by a former ELO member? And I guess you could call Dave Morgan that, even if his contribution wasn't the biggest in the band's history.

They have changed the text now janne, it did say "New ELO song for concert", I doubt they realised the error, probably got asked to alter it.
