I was never really a fan of The Eagles but this song by Don Henley is stupendous! Downloaded all 7 minutes of it and can't stop listening to it. It has everything, drama, tragedy, beauty, profound but not pretentious lyrics epic arrangement and production and never overdone or melodramatic. Id put it up there with Eleanor Rigby or A Day In The Life.

Totally agree - that is a fantastic song. Henley was born in the same year as Jeff. A good year for rock and roll. Which brings to mind another song - "A bad year for rock and roll" - destined to be played every time one of the rock idols takes a final bow

Eagles are a favorite. And, I agree, New York Minute is a good song. I like Henley's voice.

Eagles are a favorite. And, I agree, New York Minute is a good song. I like Henley's voice. his best for me was 'The Last Resort' from Hotel California it is a brilliant piece of lyric writing ... perhaps better than the rest of the album of course he has lots of tom petty connections .....boys of summer co-written with mike campbell henley is a superb artist...even his last country album was brilliant and was produced by ex heartbreaker stan lynch (who has learned a lot from JL no matter how much he disliked recording into the great wide open)...check out 'take a picture of this' ...it uses a lot of jl's musical touches imho
