Greetings all, I'm researching my second book, a fun recounting of the recording of the first Traveling Wilburys album, and I've hit a snag. I can't find the name of the photographer who took the photos during the recording of the album anywhere. In the 2017 Deluxe re-issue, Neal Preston, Gered Mankowitz, and Chris Smith are listed for "sleeve photography." Probably one of them is the one who took the pictures at Dave Stewart's house. I have unfortunately misplaced the jewel box for the CD I bought in 1988, so I can't look at that. Does anyone in the forum know?

On my original vinyl album it says sleeve photography Gered Mankowitz and Chris Smith and then band photography Neal Preston. I would therefore assume Neal Preston took all the pictures of the band, hope that helps.

I googled photos of Neal Preston and compared them to the video "The True History Of The Traveling Wilbury's" on YouTube. It is the same person. He's quite a celebrated rock photographer, although not as well-known in the 80's as he is now.
