Has anyone noticed that "Traveling" in "The Traveling Wilburys" is misspelled? Shouldn't it have two 'l's?

As far as I'm concerned, the word is usually spelled with one L in American English and with two Ls in British English. The kind of difference that exists with center/centre, -ize/ise verbs, etc.
But hey, I'm not a native speaker. Someone who is should give the answer.

I think it was Jeff who suggested adding traveling to the name.

Could you imagine what Jim was thinking as he watched 5 of the best ever at different points in their career but perhaps each at their peak, making music history?
