I don't know how prevalent hidden tracks are on albums, since only two come to mind.
There is "Terry's Song", an unlisted song at the end of Bruce Springsteen's "Magic" CD, which is a great song.
Then there is one, I think called "Let it All Hang Out" at the end of John Mellencamp's "Big Daddy" CD, which is a so-so song, but still cool that it's a hidden track.
Any other surprise hidden tracks to be aware of, that are unlisted on the albums?

There are loads, there are pages and pages of wikipedia entries listing them ...
my personal favourite is Mr E's Beautiful Blues at the end of the inconsistent daisies in the galaxy album..it was so good it was released as a single and made uk top 20.
of course this is how wiki lists JL's
Jeff Lynne: "Armchair Theatre": An unusual whirring sound and seagull cawing is heard after 17 seconds of silence following track 11, "Save Me Now." After this is 12 seconds of silence, followed by Jeff Lynne saying "Hey, it's still going y'know," and chimes ringing. Those hidden tracks are preserved on a 2013 reissue of the album, though they are placed after the reissue's final track "Forecast."

How about the Duke of Edinburghs Lettuce by the Move? Or Her Majesty on Abbey Road?

Wasn't "Her Majesty" on the track list though?

According to Wikipedia,Her Majesty was not listed on the original sleeve, making it one of the first hidden tracks.

"Untitled" on R.E.M.'s album "Green" is a hidden track. It's actually probably my favorite song of theirs (and that's saying something, because I'm a big fan). I've always been a sucker for good harmonies, and bands with acronym names, apparently.
