Just booked to see Yes feat. Anderson, Rabin and Wakeman at Newcastle City Hall, not my cup of tea but Hubby is a fan so I thought I had better go with him for a change. There is a connection with Jeff, as Lee Pomeroy plays bass.

I thought they were amazing at the RRHOF induction performance in April!

A good friend of mine has been a HUGE Yes fan from the beginning and dragged his very reluctant teenage son to see this version at Symphony Hall in Birmingham last year and was very impressed, as surprisingly was his son . There have been so many different versions of the band touring around over the years it's hard to keep up. I saw most of the original line up (Anderson, Howe, Squire, White but not Wakeman), several years ago in Birmingham too and despite not really being a fan, enjoyed it.

I went to see Yes featuring ARW at the O2 last night and was surprised to see that Iain Hornal was temporarily filling in for Lee Pomeroy (who couldn't make the three UK dates). I didn't think that he would even come close to holding down the 'Chris Squire sound' and cover backing vocal duties but he certainly did - absolutely brilliantly! I understand that he's also joining up with 10cc after his ELO commitments which kind of brings matters full circle for me because that's where I first saw Mike Stevens.
Jeff certainly has a multi-talented band behind him. I hope they see him as their priority!

i'd imagine as long as he is paying more than their other opportunities then the arrangement with the mike stevens collective (or whatever they are called) will continue to be in place. The appear to be on tour with gary barlow at the moment.
