2 Cellos are fab, good find babyzoomer. We once went to see Apocalyptica, who also do metal covers with cellos, they were amazing too.

here's another Celloist that is really into rock music - actually she's into just about every form of music: plays in the Oakland Symphony, bluegrass band, and her own band - "Dirty Cello". Does some original songs, but this one is a cover of Purple Haze.

unomusette - I listened to some Apocalyptica - turns out they are playing not too far away (Philadelphia) later this month
their tour is billed as 'Apocalyptica plays Metallica". Might be worth a trip.

This video reminds me of the one with all of the Jeffs singing "Mercy."

Might be worth a trip. I'd say so, I'm not into Metallica much but I really enjoyed their gig a few years ago. Their "Unforgiven" is amazing
