Amusing Story About Jeff from Roy O's Sons....

Roy Orbison's sons Roy Jr, Wesley, and Alex have just released a biography of their legendary father, and among the stories is this funny anecdote regarding Jeff visiting Roy at his home.....

The Authorized Roy Orbison kicks off with a well-detailed introductory chapter where the boys recall a visit from Jeff Lynne to their home in Hendersonville, Tennessee. The youngsters were engaged in a battle of wet paper towels, and pummeled the unsuspecting Lynne with their homemade paper towel bombs. "Dad sure wasn't too pleased," they write, "but Jeff took it in stride, and after we made our apologies, everything went back to normal."

Thanks Chippa ! I saw this book at B & N earlier this month when I was Christmas shopping. I didn't read enough to come across this little story, though.  Cute!

Given the otherwise feminine-dominated nature of JL's home-life (until it all fell apart), I'd be willing to venture that he enjoyed the silly rough-and-tumble of RO's home. JL has never pretended not to be as gormlessly happy with rubbing shoulders with his idols as you or I might be....and I appear to have mashed that last sentence a bit but I hope you forgive....
