top track from the current vocalist from a very good album released earlier this year
For me, perhaps the most ELO sounding track on the album (especially at the guitar solo 2:16)
Album Sampler here ...

Caledon sounds incredibly Eloish to not be ELO. A few parts simply remind me of ELO songs, although I can't get which ones.

Yes it is well studied, it was produced by Jo Webb (who was the replacement musician for the UK shows when Mr Tandy was unwell last year). They have taken some key elements of a typical JL record through listening to recent records I think (AITU/etc).The arrangement, keyboards sounds, lead guitar style similar to when I was a boy. Some of the vocal layers although close do not share all exact typical arrangements and of course they have pulled back from the typical ELO drum sound. So excellent nod to their current employer without pinching his musical notes.
I'm a big fan of the record, even with it mix of styles everything from CSNY, Paul Macca and the last track could have come straight from a 10CC album. (not surprising as he co wrote/performed it with Graham Goldman) and even has Kevin Godley on it.
Iain Hornal is also going to touring member of 10CC this year as well. He has a great CV he is building up.
