I have said for the last couple of years that I did not believe Jeff could ever do a proper tour of the US. When he tried in 2001 tickets sales were abysmal and he had to cancel the planned tour. In 2016 he played two shows in NY and 3 in LA. I thought that was all we would ever get. When I saw the ticket prices in NY during the pre-sale ($178 for some upper deck seats) I thought there was no way he would sell enough tickets. Well it looks like I may have been wrong. For the shows that went on sale today and you can see exactly what seats have sold and which ones are still available (Detroit, Chicago & Houston) there are practically no seats available in the upper decks. There are still plenty of seats available in the lower corners and straight away from the stage in the lower level, but all other lower level seats and all floor seats have sold. I would imagine if they sold no more tickets they would still go on with the shows and they have nine months to sell more. I don't expect we will have multiple dates like you fine folks across the pond but we may end up with shows being almost sold out which I did not believe was possible. Like most people I do not like to be wrong, but in this case I am very happy to have missed the mark on my prediction.
