advice required... what time does the gig finish how long to walk between Birm Arena and Birm New Street i have a sneaking feeling i'm going to have to drive as the last train to bristol (where i will leave my car) goes at 22:12 I’m assuming your train leaves at 23:12 not 22:12? I’m guessing Jeff will be on at 9.00pm and play for one hour forty five mins. Then you’ve got to get out of the stadium and walk to New Street station. I would allow 15 mins to walk especially if you don’t know the way, I know a few short cuts through the ICC so could probably cut the time down to 10-12 mins especially if walking at a marching pace. My last train goes at 11:15 last time Jeff played we just made it in time however if we missed it I’ve always the backup plan of a bus or taxi. I think to to be honest you would be pushing it and might have to leave before the encore to be sure to get your train. If if you do drive this car park is very close and costs £10 for the evening, prebook to ensure you have got a place, I’m doing the train on Wednesday and parking here on Friday. www.q-park.co.uk/en-gb/cities/birmingham/brindleyplace/Edit: Just checked trainline.com and you last train is 22:12 as you say, I think you will have to drive. These are the times for the event: B(eat) Doors Open : 1730 hrs Arena Doors Open : 1800 hrs Support : 1930 hrs - 2010 hrs Interval : 2010 hrs - 2050 hrs ELO : 2050 hrs - 2230 hrs Approx. Finish : 2230 hrs

Could you drive but book a less expensive hotel with parking somewhere on the way home?

I love this line from The Guardian. In respond to the cheering crowd..."the man himself contentedly flips two thumbs up in laidback acknowledgment and, from him, it feels like two delirious blasts of an air horn.". Perfect.

It's a little over a year since I saw them at Wembley and I'm seeing them tonight in Manchester so that's two times in 15 months or so,the last time before this was in 1986 when I saw them twice in a couple of months- 'Heartbeat' and the final UK date of the old band at the old Wembley (Bev,Richard,Mik and Louis)

was at manchester last night, great show but i thought either his voice was a bit weak or his mike was duff, he did struggle to make himself heard at times, good job theres a big band with a few vocalists behind him. but it was a good gig, when he kicked off with standing in the rain, i did hope for a few moments that he had read this forum and was going to open the show with concerto for a rainy day in its entirety, but alas it was just the one track as opener. support act was pretty bloody good too, bit of a cross between sam smith and ed sheeran. very good voice.
