as a matter of interest what size are those venues? Detroit, I read 20,060. Smaller than I thought. Not that I'm complaining.

I just don't know where the best seat will be, besides kneeling right at Damey's feet. Do I go for as close to the stage, or far enough back to really appreciate the music and see the laser show.
The venue just opened in September. So need to find out if anyone has seen a concert there and what they think.

Atlanta or Nashville please! I'm with you on that one! Atlanta would be AWESOME!!! I've got lots of friends and family there who could put me up, and I could drive there quite easily. I'd also like something in the DC area since I've got folks there, too, and it's a reasonable drive. I could probably drive to Nashville but would have to get a hotel. Philly and New York would be a bit far and would involve hotel and probably a plane ticket, too....I'll keep my fingers crossed.

I think it will be good enough if he can fill a venue that size in a city with the population of Detroit. This is not Britain we are talking about. Remember the sales debacle of 2001 (Zoom tour). As I see it, a stadium that size in Detroit is quite a bold bet. Does anyone know if it's the Pistons stadium?

Some advice to our American friends who will be looking for tickets when/if the USA leg of a tour is announced, this is all from my experience in the UK. There are a few things you can do prior to any tickets going on sale which may help you grab some good seats. Fan Club PresaleThe UK always had a fan club pre sale requiring a passcode, there was much confusion on what the fan club is, it is the Showdown list. If you are not already a member I would suggest you try to join up now as it can take time and I hear some people are not always successful in joining. Details are here www.ftmusic.com/mailing_list/index.htmlFacebook PresaleJeff's Facebook page has also given out a pre sale code, this has been usually a day after the fan club pre sale, so it is worth watching his Facebook page www.facebook.com/OfficialJeffLynne/Official ListSign up to any ELO or Live Nation official list you may get a pre sale code jefflynneselolandingsoon.com/?vtgocookieset=1Before the tickets go on sale make an account or a log in on the selling website, this would seem to be Live Nation, pre enter all your address details as this will save you time when buying the tickets, also check the venue websites to see if you can buy direct. Have two credit/debt cards available incase you have an issue with one of them being accepted. Hope this helps and good luck.
