Shine A Little Love was never a favourite of mine but I absolutely love how they did it on this show. It's wonderful.

Timeblue I know you're just kidding! I've seen old photos of JL with beer onstage, but other than Hugh's craziness, ELO has never come across as a bunch of wild "bad boys." On the other hand, I do know many an American teacher with lots of tattoos, and some have been driven to drink by the stresses of the job. Just sayin.' Speaking of Hughies 'craziness' did you see the bassist Lee Pomeroy put his hand on Mike Stephens shoulder during MBS? SACRILEGE!!!! only Hughie is allowed to do that!

When Jeff sang 'Handle with Care' it got me thinking that maybe we should do just that. He's 70 now and in all honesty he's not going to be doing too many more live shows. I reckon he'll stop in the next 3/4 years so we really need to handle him with care...

It's next to impossible to catch up on everything, but I'm trying!
I'm glad I'm not the only one who thought that although the stage is spectacular and the band is great, Jeff performs like he's already bored with it all. But to be fair, we all know his brilliance shined in the studio and he never liked the touring part.
I'm sorry if I'm repeating something that was already mentioned, but something I thought it was really funny was the outtake where they show the background vocalists rehearsing and he's talking about how everything is carefully planned and it has to be perfect, etc....and the very next song is Do Ya. Maybe I'm crazy, but it seems like Jeff sort of either messed up the first line, or he got tongue tied enough that it didn't sound right, and he makes this grimace like "Oh crap!" but keeps going. It's so funny! I've watched it over again several times. Yep, everything has to be perfect....oops!😂

That initial part of the DVD where Jeff walks through the field towards Wembley reminds me of the dream sequence in Gladiator (ok ok I'll get back to my vodka and coke now....)

Brings to mind an anecdote from years ago - I attended a bucks party in a small country town. Challenged to a V+O battle, I did my best but eventually retreated to my car outside to recover - eventually I realised I had to 'laff on the lawn'. I leaned out of the car and vomited into the gutter, and looked up to see a policeman staring at me - ' you're not planning to drive are you sonny' says he. No sir! says I - and I walked 4 blocks to a mates place + collapsed on the outside verandah. I woke up the next morning covered in mozzie bites + drove home with my tail between my legs (as it were).

Haha! Hangover, warned by the fuzz and covered in mozzie bites. Sounds like a typical Aussie night out.....!

Finally watched it last! It was almost everything I expected it to be but was slightly put off with all the interjections throughout the show.I would have preferred to watch the show in full. Loved the people dancing in the aisles young and old, even the woman who sang 'bruce' to DBMD. Jeff's voice really hasn't changed much over the years and every song was faithfully done. Anfother thing that struck me was how un rock n roll the band are! Only Milton on lead looked anything like a rock star, with the rest (Jeff included) looking more like teachers and shop keepers not that I'm complaining,it's the music they make that is important and boy we were not disappointed. Loved WWH and Twilight the best with CGIOOMH being awesome too.The light show looked good on dvd but didn't come over as fantastic as it was on the night, I remember being in awe with all the lasers flying around when it got dark. I'll watch the extras sometime this week, so all in all it was a great show and just how I remembered it. Did anyone spot the autocue box's on stage? I guess these are a new thing for Jeff since the Hyde Park show where he forgot a few lines but we can forgive him that now and again. Once again,a great show..... I have finally got and watched my blu-ray. I just loved it. Though I have been a bit tired to many of ELO's hits, it didn't bother at all in a live situation. Besides, I didn't find the band un-rock. Milton is great as is Lee Pomeroy in bass. Not to speak of Donavan Hepburn. And of course Jeff is cool, I think. I guess that the autocue boxes are same thing we call prompters? It seemed to me that everybody had them. At least Milton. I think it is not so uncommon. Anyways, I'm looking forward to the show in Copenhagen next september!
