But yes,I have more aches and pains, more grey hair (what's left of it,) etc etc.. Yeah, I was about to say something similar about my case: at this pace I don't think grey hair will be a problem because to have grey hair you must first have hair. Being bald with confidence and a smile works for a lot of men. If it doesn't come naturally, try shaving your head before you lose all your hair, and get used to the look, knowing full well that you are choosing it! That's what my husband does. He lets it grow out just a little bit, and it reminds him that he still does have some hair. Then he shaves it all off. Works for him and he looks great! I'm graying pretty fast --it started in my twenties, so I do love hair color! However, I do plan to at least try wearing my hair completely white once it gets to that point --and once my son finishes college. (I don't want to be asked if I'm his grandma!!) That's still a few years away. I'll be 60 then and ready to retire. Hopefully, I can be one of those women who can pull off that look with confidence- otherwise, Miss Clairol for me again!

Yeah, I've kept a shaved hair look a few times before and I'm going to do it again in the future, when there's too little left. In summer it's the best thing. So far the color is still black, with hardly any white hairs having appeared.
How much work is dyeing your hair? Is it too pesky?

How much work is dyeing your hair? Is it too pesky? I like keeping my hair really short, and I still make a mess sometimes when I try to color it myself, but then again, I'm a bit clumsy. (Remember I can't dance, either.) I still try it every now and then, though. Other people may have better luck with it. I usually get my hair colored professionally when I get it cut every few weeks, or if I have the time, I go to a beauty school and get it done about as well, and for a lot less (but it takes longer because they're still learning). Wait -- I can't tell you any more or I'll betray my sisterly bond with all of the other women who go to these same lengths to look nice! I may have to start charging you a consulting fee for all of this valuable information about coping with aging, Helmut83 !You seem to have so many questions.

Wait -- I can't tell you any more or I'll betray my sisterly bond with all of the other women who go to these same lengths to look nice! Don't worry, that was enough to know what a majority of the female forum members go through on a regular basis. I may have to start charging you a consulting fee for all of this valuable information about coping with aging, Helmut83 !You seem to have so many questions. Well, I'm a curious guy, eloneen , I can't deny that. The fact that I tend to talk too much might deceive you, but the regulars here (including those who knew me personally) could probably tell you that I also listen attentively at what others have to say and usually have good memory about it. As for charging me, well, people like BSJ and unomusette have been trying this since the beginning of the ages and the best they got is me saying I'll pay them with love which is much more important than money, so I don't see why you would get any better from me than that.

Hey! I'm 53 and I'm expecting to live to 107 so I have more tomorrow's than yesterday's... One thing I've noticed as I get older, is that the days seem shorter & shorter; when I was a boy (hmmm...good line for a song, that ) the days seemed endless - nowadays I just get out of bed and it's time to get in again.....by the time I am 70 or 95 they will probably zip by like coffee breaks.
So (perceptually) a mid-life crisis probably should occur in your 30's! After that, it's all downhill.
I'll probably wake up one morning and while at the breakfast table something will zip past me,I'll ask the wife what it was and she'll say that was your life....

Started greying hair in 20's. Started coloring 30's. I have my hair dyed every six weeks. Should be 4-5 weeks but it's a royal pain in the ass. Have it cut about every 3rd or 4th time. It's naturally wavy-curly so can get away with that.
