Ok - first a little boring background; I grew up in rural Oz (Australia!) - I was the only person in the community (a bit like "the only gay in the village") that cared THAT MUCH about ELO; so there was no-one I could talk to about stuff related to my obsession. Nowadays the wonder of the interweb means I can bore lots more people - so now it's your turn to suffer!
I've got many OOTB questions; but this one will do for starters:
In "Sweet Talkin' Woman" (my original exposure is via a 1978 cassette) I'm damn sure JL sings "What can I do - No no no". And yet nowadays when Jeff performs the song live he sings "What can I do - I don't know".....
Am I mis-hearing either? What's the story? Is this another groose/Bruce 'thing'?
To quote another Oz politician (if you UK and USA fans want a giggle, then google "Pauline Pantsdown") - PLEASE EXPLAIN.

Jeff does that. He hears what the audience sings and at times adapts to them. On "Showdown" he now says "its a real submarine" instead of its "unreal the suffering".

I know what you mean, babyzoomer, about having no one to talk to about this stuff. I don't think any of us are going to suffer from your obsession, we all have the same obsession! Please tell me that's not true about the Showdown lyrics. That's just stupid. I am also irritated that he changed that word to "Bruce" on DBMD. How hard is it, after all, to learn one word of German? But the Sweet Talkin' Woman thing, No-no-no are just filler words so it doesn't matter to me if he sings that or "I don't know". Sometimes, in the live shows, he forgets to sing either and is silent. I get so tickled when the fans sing it for him. Here's the video.

To me it doesn't really matter that much though I prefer the original lyrics. He could sing the phone book and sound good.

On face the music on Down home town the line "YOU SEE THEM WINNING EVERY SHOW "is printed as "UCEEDEMWINNIN EVERY SHOW" in the liner notes. I dont know if that was deliberate or not.

I wish Jeff would get wind of other things the fans want, like what songs we'd like to hear in concerts, and play them!

I would actually like to hear an album in it's entirety played live . If not that then "Concerto for a Rainy Day" Which I think Jeff hinted they might do in an interview a couple of years ago . But that came to nothing sadly (IMHO)

I have said it many times on here,I would love it if one day the whole back catalogue of ELO hits has been seen to have been played live at some point. We are nearly there with only about 4/5 hits still not done live.
