MacArthur Park(written by Jimmy Webb) would be perfect for Jeff's somewhat cinematic production style..(here's an incredible live version, done on Late Night With David Letterman, a few years back)

This may be silly but I wish he'd cover Roy Orbison's 'You Got It'. That song has "Jeff Lynne" written all over it, obviously, and I never thought that Roy should have recorded it. It's Jeff's song.

I'd love to hear Jeff sing this, it's pretty ELO-esque anyway and if he sang it in that lounge-lizard way...  (For the same reason the idea of Matt out of Muse covering it is also extremely appealing)  |

To pay tribute to the late great Chris Cornell, Jeff should sing "Set it Off" by Audioslave. I know he would get a kick out of singing the words "set that f'er off". LOL
