There isn't enough science on this forum!
This week, as I am a bit late for my go at the magazine, I thought I'd write about something I learnt in science at school and still remember. (About the ONLY thing I remember from science lessons at school!)
Have a go and see if you can solve the question -
- MRS GREN is the acronym for a list of all the things a living thing should have. What are they?
M - ? R - ? S - ? G - ? R - ? E - ? N - ?
I'll give you M to start with - Movement.
No cheating with the internet! This is genuine old skool science taught to me when we didn't even have internet in the school. I'll write the answer when I get back from the Isle of Wight next week. I hope everybody has a go .

We learnt this at school too so I can remember most, not sure on the 's' and 'n' but the 'r' and 'e' used to cause lots of giggles as I seem to remember

The 's' I think is sensitivity and the 'n', I seem to remember, is nutrition... Horace's version is more fun, though. Oh, and the 'e' was excretion, as I recall, no wonder it caused giggles.

But it is not how I learned it in school. This is what my teacher said -
Movement Respiration Sensitivity
Growth Reproduction Excretion Nutrition
Well done to those who remembered their lessons! But science is wrong, Horacewimp is right with his alternative list .
