I haven't yet got around to buying Long Wave, but vividly remember listening to the previews on iTunes and such like and was planning on buying it sooner than later.
However, it seems to have been deleted from digital music platforms - both here and internationally - and the CD is essentially out of stock at Amazon too.
Anybody know what the story is here? Seems quite unusual for an album that's not really that old.

Strange one this. Perhaps they're about to re-issue it with all the songs that didn't appear on it in the first place! Here's hoping.
Coincidentally, I finally got round to picking up a clear vinyl copy of Long Wave a couple of weeks ago in Cardiff. I've already got the white vinyl one and wanted this other configuration. I also picked up the white vinyl edition of Armchair Theatre (as opposed to the original blue vinyl re-issue). I wish they'd stop doing this!!

I couldn't find Zoom on iTunes either yesterday.
Have I missed something?

Long Wave, Mr. Blue Sky, ELO Live and the remasters of Armchair Theatre and Zoom were all originally released through Frontiers, but now Jeff has renegotiated with Sony (or at least their subsidiary, Columbia), it's possible we'll get new reissues of these titles - I'm hoping for more bonus tracks that at least correspond with each album rather than these being scattered across various albums seemingly at random... Oh, and a full version of the Bungalow Palace acoustic special would be great as well, not to mention the planned second volumes of Mr. Blue Sky and Long Wave!

I absolutely love Long Wave and would be quite "chuffed" with a second volume.

Oh, and a full version of the Bungalow Palace acoustic special would be great as well I would be willing to chain myself to Jeff's railings for this to appear .

Thanks for all the replies, and sorry it's taken me a while to respond, have limited access to the Internet at present. Glad it's not just me who's noticed, and here's hoping that the reported re-issues do go ahead. Typical that Long Wave got pulled just as I went to buy it. That will teach me for procrastinating!

And leave some of the banter in. I could hear Jeff quite clearly. Maybe because of how I have my sound system set up, who knows. I think part of it may be because they simply play so well together, like they never missed a beat after all those years.
