Ran across this thread today for the first time and I found the thread only because I was looking for a video of Jeff being interviewed by Nick Carter, I think, and Jeff was really cute. Still haven't found it but, I did find this interview in which he explains a pic of him and a bunch of others after playing football. I wanted to share this with you all and was going to start a new topic when I found that Chippa had already done it.  Here is what I found today.

Great interview as well, Eloise. He answered without his typical cassette, that makes it very valuable and interesting. It's not everyday that you get Jeff Lynne talking jokingly about other guy's genitals.

Tom Petty is absolutely right about ELO not getting respect from critics, cause they had too many hit singles. Artists like Dylan, Neil Young,and Lou Reed (all of whom I love), are critical darlings because they never had many hit singles, even though their albums sold well.

Reminds me that I think this way with authors. Specially those who crank out a book four times a year.
