Try "Drive His Car", a brand new Beatles-related videogame I programmed in Scratch (and from scratch, as it was 100% home-made) in which you have to drive Paul McCartney's car through many perils, rescue John Lennon and take him to Yoko Ono's hands. Instructions are displayed before starting the game. Just click on the green flag each time you want to start again. Use the fullscreen mode (icon top left of the game screen) so it runs more smoothly and you can see the characters better. The first time give it a few seconds to load correctly before starting. If it's still slow, you can close other tabs of your browser. scratch.mit.edu/projects/141299275/#fullscreenGame time! Let's see if someone can win it! wiggle

Haha. It's a tricky game!
The key is when the lone crazy fan goes over you, you have to wait for her on the left part of the screen. When she's quite close to the left border she'll stop following you and go in a fix direction towards the left and she'll leave by that side.
In total the game lasts between 2 and 3 minutes. John should appear after about one minute.

Does it run smoothly for you, Horacewimp, or does it drag a bit?

I never got to John either.

Thanks for the feedback, elophile! Maybe I should have done it easier? Let's see if we have some other game testers' opinions. Remember that if you press two keys at the same time the car goes diagonally (as long as the two keys aren't opposed), you can take advantage of that.

I made it to picking up john!!!! but then we crashed.

Thanks for the feedback, elophile ! Maybe I should have done it easier? take my feedback with a grain of salt... I'm video-game-deficient.

Picking up John is more or less the middle of the game in terms of time, so you were not that far from winning. The thing is once you pick up John the car gets slower so it's more difficult.

It runs fine Helmut83 no lag, I'll try again tomorrow, I kept hiding at the bottom of the screen.

Yeah, hiding at the bottom or any other borders of the screen is ok. There are ways to solve it, but that would mean narrowing down the "field" (limiting yet more your chances of escaping) and besides it could overload the game too much, risking lag and not running well.

I arrow Paul forward, he doesn't advance any further than the end of the screen, he doesn't advanced any further? I forward, back up, go sides ways trying to stay in the screen. So far I've seen Mick and that was only 3 times. Those damn bras!
It's really clever, though Helmut!
Nope. The I love you Paul girl making it too hard for me.

Haha, do you want to go out of the screen? Yeah, the "I love you Paul" girl is surely the most challenging character, the key is to wait for her over the left of the screen, then from one point on she just chooses a random direction and goes away that way. The bras don't kill Paul, they just get on his eyes so he can't drive the car for a few seconds, but once they are removed he can go on playing.

I know what the bras do. Frustrating can't keep driving forward. After 10 attempts, I'm giving it rest. Don't think I've play a video game in over 30 years! That's what happen when you don't have kids!
Hopefully I'll get John home to Yoko soon!

Yeah, better give it a rest or you'll go crazy. My sister has been playing it too, she only got John in the car but couldn't get him to Yoko. Still no winners.
