This was shocking and very sad news, but from what I've read he crammed every bit of fun he could into his life which is the best any of us can hope for. RIP Rick, a worthy addition to that supergroup in the sky.

This one really hit me hard - perhaps more than any other passing this year apart from David Bowie.
I saw Quo last Friday week in Birmingham and his absence from the stage and the current tour (due to those many ongoing health issues) was keenly felt. Now there never will be a return for next years 50th Anniversary celebrations. However likely his passing seemed, however many lives he'd already used up, it was still an immense shock.
Rest In Peace Rick.
If any of you get the chance, I recommend the Quo covers of I Can Hear The Grass Grow (Don't Stop) and Don't Bring Me Down (Riffs). Interesting interpretations both.

I was so sad to hear about Rick, especially after hearing he was leaving Quo. It seemed he was ready for a new start and now this .
