Chris interviewing Jeff is posted here DiscoveryJeff sounds like a totally different person in this interview then a year ago. Upbeat, confident and not the same old story's. A lot going on in his life. Pity it wasn't a longer interview. For sure Chris has a lot to with this.

Really nice interview, shame it wasn't longer! I'm not a massive fan of Chris Evans but gotta say his love and support for ELO is really admirable and you can tell Jeff is really thankful to Chris playing his music and essentially getting him touring again, good on you Chris!

Chris asked jeff when hed last played to less than 100 people. He gave an incorrect answer. The answer should have been .On the one show last year. I was lucky enough to be there and there was definitely no more than 100 guests.

"I hate being... not rehearsed properly, you know?". Yeah, we know that very well, Jeff. As a fan, I don't like the fact that they are so overrehearsed and that the live sounds so similar to the studio version. But that's my opinion, I know many other fans would rather everything came out exactly as it is meant to.
I don't know Chris Evans, but he seemed a bit like exaggerately "laughative" on this interview. Jeff said a couple of things that were somewhat funny and the guy was bursting with laughter.

To be honest I'd rather hear live versions as close to the studio versions as possible, or when you spend so much time rehearsing the lyrics for all the songs, they change one bloody lyric and it throws you! I'm not a fan of overly long solos or medleys so I'm happy to hear a version that sounds a lot like the studio version

Also for those who bought a programme on the tour, you can spot yourself as there were porchester picture in there or of course for those of us also in the TFI there were no more than a 100 there either ....

He does run Europe's most listened to breakfast show using that technique with every interview. Steve wright (the afternoon dj) does the same thing
