This was uploaded a few days ago, not seen it before. Mom, who doesn't particularly like ELO, she's more of a Beatles or folk music fan, remembers hearing "Kuiama" on the radio in 1973, she thought that one was by The Rolling Stones, but likes it along with "Daybreaker" and "Can't Get It Out of My Head", she'd also heard those two played back then as well!

The thing about ELO videos is this...... Jeff has owned the ELO name for 23 years, and a comprehensive ELO music video compilation (including his recent videos as JLELO) has not been released. I would love to see that happen. Maybe the answer lies in the 52 pages of comments, but I haven't gone back to read all of them. Sorry. Of all of them, though, I love Here is the News the most. When I was a Boy was made in a different time than the original ELO ones, so that one (and other recent ones) deserve to be in their own category.

I'm interested in the logo on Jeff's guitar . Is that an early incarnation of the spaceship?

In the Hall of the Mountain King - ELO | The Midnight SpecialELO performed on January 17, 1975 Performance Recording Date: November 26, 1974 PS-This could be one of Kelly Groucutt's very first taped performances as a member of Electric Light Orchestra!

The cameraman had one job to do and instead he focused on some 2nd rate drummer at the vital moment.....

Love the exploding cello!
Kelly was only in ELO a couple months at this point. A wise hire by Jeff and Bev.

I can think of at least 3 items I would like to see over the next couple years (and won't happen):
1. ELO's Video "Hits" - All ELO videos brought together in one location with remastered and hi def audio and video. 2. Jeff / Richard - Live at Bungalow Palace - the entire concert. 3. Beatles Forever released at least as digital download - remastered by Jeff Lynne

Beatles Forever released at least as digital download - remastered by Jeff Lynne 1. A 2DVD set of all the classic era music videos was prepared for release back in 2009 as a companion piece to All Over The World, but when this ended up being scrapped, Sony mined its content for a few official YouTube uploads. 2. My understanding is that they're sitting on two takes of each song, though a few were "sweetened" in post production. I can't see any reason why having the best versions in one place hasn't happened yet, outside of Jeff's management apparently not being the best at making logical decisions. 3. I wouldn't even ask for this to be remastered - all we need is a truly definitive version of Secret Messages that replicates the 03/11/1983 assembly, with the gap after Hello My Old Friend reducing and the 03/04/1983 remix of the title track done at Soundcastle swapped out for the final 03/25/1983 mix.

ShardEnder: 1. Didn't know about this. A shame. 2. Another missed opportunity. 3. Another relatively easy piece of low hanging fruit.

Speaking of videos - Jeff lives in California, maybe when the weather cools down Jeff should make a video like this:
With a backing band, out in the desert, with his fro and aviators in the California sun. Something hot and human. And ditch the ELO spaceship and seeing the phrase "Jeff Lynne's ELO" multiple times in a video.
Jeff has lived in California long enough to do some California Dreamin in the mode of Fire on High, Do Ya, Poker, and Across the Border.
