Always loved this tune - proper foot tapper.... your songs always get stuck in my head. (in a good way!) Cheers Ted, and thanks for doing the brilliant ‘bookends’.

I’ve just listened to all three of these eloandy and they’re brilliant tunes, you could put them on an album Like the ELO influence & even a bit of a Beatles sound on the middle one. I’ve always wanted to record little songs or demos at least but have no clue how, to me it seems like some sort of (pardon the pun) “strange magic” that people either have or don’t have, that just about anyone can write music and lyrics and record it, yet it seems so daunting and impossible that I’ve never tried to. Somewhat recently my dad told me that either in high school or college (can’t remember the details too well) he and some friends recorded some original music on a casette but that the tape was in his car when it got stolen (and that he was more upset that the only recording of that was gone than he was that his car was stolen—I’d have to agree here because now I’m curious what it sounded like and would definitely have dug it up to give it a listen had he still had the tape.)

Thanks very much for having a listen and for your kind words, so glad you liked them. I can honestly say Jeff and the Beatles inspire me probably in equal measure. I always remember hearing Jeff saying about his songwriting something along the lines of ‘90% perspiration and 10% inspiration. I think some of his greatest works have been a relative slog and it ain’t always easy, even for someone as gifted as him. Since the advent of ‘Garageband’ and other similar platforms, home recording has been totally transformed. Thanks again for having a listen, I really appreciate it.

I agree, it’s about time you put all these into one CD or LP... Even if it’s just for self-indulgent reasons! They are all great tunes!

I'm finally working on some new music, since my summer has been busy. But in the meantime, check out this pretty rough cover I did of Dylan's Knockin On Heaven's Door. I'm not much of a guitar player, as you can tell. But I think it's fairly passable.

How do you make Knockin On Heaven's Door more sorrowful? Have Chippa perform it! I like your voice.

God, at that hour the ABC song would sound like a suicide note.

I've finally finished a new song after not doing anything all summer. This one, with the rather pretentious title The Existentialist Conversations, has a nice late night, mellow groove with the slightest hint of funk. I had fun with it. Have a listen.

Yeah, you do have a nice bit of a funky groove going on there. It sounded like the last rays of summer sunshine.

I wrote and recorded this a couple of years ago. A few weeks back i gave it a bit of a face lift by doing a rewrite and some new vocals and i thought you might like to hear it. (The bit that was wrong always grated on me.) It's about being at the end of a relationship. Harsh words may be spoken and you reflect on all the time and love you invested to be left with nothing and wonder what it was all about. It's a little bit different to my other stuff (i think...) so i hope you enjoy it.

Different from your other songs? No kidding! Brutal, uneasy and very sad. Love the title and it's use in the song. Like the fade out.
