I cannot recall one and the reason why I'm asking is that a week or so ago on TOTP 1982 (BBC4) they played this with dance troupe ZOO dancing (murdering) to it, and it made me think why didn't they just play Here Is The News which HAS a video for it.

They must have been skint after the Hold on Tight video, which I think was one of the most expensive ever produced at that point.
Am I right in thinking there was no video for Twilight though?

There is one for Twilight but I can't find a copy on Youtube which works in the UK, outside the UK you might be able to view this.

Am I right in thinking then that there wasn't a vid for The Way Life's Meant To Be?

The Way Life's Meant To Be wasn't originally intended as a single from Time, which at least explains why it recycled Wishing as a b-side, while its last few predecessors - apart from the double a-side of Ticket To The Moon and Here Is The News - had exclusive tracks (supposedly an idea suggested by the band's then-road manager, Craig Fruin, who was later promoted to Jeff's personal manager after impressing with his determination to give ELO's fans value for money, not to mention he was also instrumental in exposing fraud taking place within the higher ranks of Jet Records that led to Jeff being temporarily swindled out of $4m). With its parent LP considered a commercial failure compared to Out Of The Blue, Discovery and Xanadu, it's claimed that Jet decided at the last minute to issue this song in Europe only to coincide with the group's ongoing tour, but this also explains why they weren't available to shoot a promotional video. At a point when MTV had only just recently launched, the absence of a clip and its limited release combined to ensure it became a mere footnote in history, though I believe things deserved to end differently...

I like the video. Jeff is looking a lot like Dave Stewart there! LOL Absolutely. I remember when I saw the Eurythmics for the first time 35 years ago with "Sweet Dreams" I thought: "This guy looks like a slightly mad version of Jeff Lynne."
