I can't wait, drive up to Liverpool tomorrow morning for a weekend stay in the City Centre, the highlight will be the OMD concert at The Museum of Liverpool tomorrow night. It may mean I have to leave the Halloween party a little early to pack and get a good nights sleep, please don't leave too much rubbish as I won't have time to tidy it up tomorrow morning

Mal Holmes OMDs drummer suffered a heart attack while playing in Canada last year, he is still recovering and can't play, therefore he was substituted by the very old but reliable tape machine "Winston" Attachment DeletedAction pictures, "Sealand" Attachment DeletedJoan of Arc Attachment Deleted

H W,
Had no clue where you went or really why, so I went searching. Found a site telling of the concert. This led me to finding more about the museum. Beautiful building's. Then photos of the “Three Graces” made themselves known. Then had to look those up! The Royal Liver Building, Port of Liverpool Building and Cunard Building. Don't want to show you up, but I thought you might be interested in this photo. I would have loved seeing all this. Look at that museum!
Your shot of the Royal Liver Building shows how massive it must be!

Lovely pics, what a great spot for your hotel too, HW. I've only been once, to see Muse in the Echo Arena which is right by there. The drive towards it along the waterfront with the iconic buildings right next to you is amazing. I'd love to go back one day and see it all during proper daylight. I'm with BSJ (situation normal there), I love a good buiding too. And a nice intimate OMD gig, you lucky dab. Was the sound OK? Did you get a question answered? I shall always remember that Echo Arena gig fondly, one of the few times I've actually been on the barrier, nearly killed me, nearly lost my top in the melee, should really be married to the guy behind me - we were welded together in the crush, it was brutally loud and dazzling, it was AMAZING! So Liverpool gets a big thumbs up from me, thanks for sharing

The buildings and architecture along that whole piece of water front is lovely, just past the Museum is the Albert Dock which is a great place to visit, we had a nice meal in there. I was surprised, Liverpool would make a great place to visit for a long weekend even without a concert to go too

We should have a forum meetup there, perhaps when the EAO play The Cavern...

Sounds like you had a fantastic weekend, Horace. I'm truly envious! When the sun is shining (and when it's not) Liverpool waterfront is a glorious place. Speaking of the Liver Building -
