Donald Trump supported the vote to leave the EU. That tells me it was probably a terrible idea.

I opened the front door of the house this morning looked outside and thought "the world still looks the same, lets get on with it"
The financial markets were bound to drop on the uncertanity of what an exit vote will mean, but I expect once the dust has settled they will bounce back, I think for normal Joe public the result will mean very little changes.

Hope you're right, Horace. Some commentators have made more pessimistic predictions:

I feel worried...not for our ability to take care of ourselves out of the EU but for the ability of whoever takes over the running of the country to do the job properly. I feel even more worried when I realise they may have to deal with Trump.

Relax, guys, nothing terrible will happen. Don't swallow so much what the press says, the press in the world is in the hands of the lefties so you only got one version of the pros and cons. I think on the long run the UK will be better off on their own. The EU is heading straight to the failure and the UK doesn't want to be a part of it (just remember, in some time other countries will follow and separate too). And don't swallow so much what the press says about Donald Trump either: he is not Satan and he will be a better president than you think.

That worry is very valid, but wouldn't you be more worried if the running of your country were to be done by people who are not even British and don't even live there?

On a shocker of a day, one thing the Brits can still rely on is black humour. For the football fans:

IMHO it is an awful awful day Helmut. We'll see, Dillwyn. Time will tell. I think it will be less terrible than you guys are expecting, but you probably know the ins and outs better than I do.
