just home from Dublin thought I would let you all know how the rearranged show went tonight. It was loud really LOUD At times the crowd were singing so loud I could barely hear Jeff!!! He apologised for last week in the humble way only Jeff can. Going by the cheer he got , he knew he was forgiven. A fantastic night one I will never forget. Hope everybody on the forum has got to see Jeff we've waited so long for this.

Good, lasttrain929, I'm happy it all went so well after the cancelled gig, that Jeff apologized and that the crowd cheered on him. The concert I went to in London was ridiculously loud as well, no doubt beyond the hearing damage threshold. Good thing I had taken my earplugs with me to protect myself because I have tinnitus in both ears (louder one in right ear), but how such a volume is allowed in civilized -to call them so- countries like England and Ireland which are so full of restrictions is really surprising.

Jeff was definitely taken aback by the cheering at one point, can't remember exactly when, he started and stopped a sentence twice because of the noise.

Was this tonight, Buttler? Seriously, you rarely see Jeff Lynne with such an expression of joy on his face. Well done on the Irish.

Thank you for the link, always hold my breath when I read anything from the press crossbones as Jeff used to call them the back stabbers

The person on facebook who claimed to have heard it last night must have been mistaken....i thought it was odd ....ho hum

Between the support act and the main event - many Jeff influenced songs were played on the PA including Roy Orbison, Wilburys, Tom Petty etc and also including George Harrison- I think Cheer Down was one of the tracks played then - definitely not played in the set list.
