To pick up where Pisces' original thread left off: what are you listening to now?

Rob 2095 , doesn't this song have a slight feel to the one you posted or have I gone nuts? That cut in the 4th bar of the intro maybe...

The two tracks don't sound that similar to me, but you're much more knowledgeable about actual musical notation and song structure than I am.
"California" is quite the catchy track, though. I've never heard it before despite it being 10 years old and a single when it was released.

Yeah, they weren't very similar really, it was just that cut and nothing else.
So it seems you just did some research, I assume (I can't imagine you knowing that information about the song and not actually knowing the song)! Yeah, it is a catchy track. What I wonder is: are all California girls so pretty and hot, are all California boys so good looking, are all California cars so eccentric, are all of California houses so huge, are all of California wines so fine, are all California people so cool, outgoing, fashionable, sporty and nature-loving, and is California lifestyle so intense and magnificent?

The simple answer to that question is no . California is a mixed bag of a state if there ever was one. As you could imagine, you'll find a lot of good and a lot of bad there... and if I remember correctly, it's one of the most financially dysfunctional states in the Union and has been for quite some time.

Jason Falkner's album Can You Still Feel? If you haven't heard it, I recommend it enthusiastically.
